Rubber coated magnet

Rubber coated magnets are made from NEO magnets, also called supermagnets. They are covered in a thick rubber coat, for several purposes. Not only does the coat protect the magnet from the elements, it also ensures that the magnet doesn't slide on the surface it's attached to. The rubber coat should always be cleaned before use.
Rubber coated magnets are used for advertising signs, lantern holders and similar outdoor uses. They are also used in the industry, amongst other things inside windmills.
If you want to use the magnet on a laquered surface (like the roof of a car) you must be very careful when attaching and removing it, so the laquer is not damaged.
Please note that the force is by full contact between the magnet and the material, without air gap. If the air gap is increased, the force is reduced.
