SmCo magneter
(Samarium-Cobalt) er gode, stærke magneter, som har en
utrolig arbejdstemperatur. De kan fungere i temperaturer
på op til 350
°C,
og deres hårdhed er så stor at der skal bruges
diamantværktøj til at forarbejde dem. Deres holdekraft
ligger lige under Neodym magneterne, men de tåler højere
temperatur. SmCo magneter bruges i industrien til
sensorer, elmotorer, værktøj og magnetiske pumper.
